Laid-off designers pool talent for nonprofit co-op

Two Denver designers, Tim Geisler and Eric Anderson, were two of a number of people they knew laid off from their jobs, so they put together a nonprofit office called Hyperform Design Co-op to get new work. The outfit now has 50 members and acts a lot like an architecture firm, so when they are presented with any size of project, they can "say yes, we can do that," Geisler says. Hyperform operates like a think tank, with members collaborating on competition entries and looking for future work.
